General Questions Can I get a custom-designed cake? Absolutely! Each of our wedding cakes is uniquely crafted to meet your specific needs. We collaborate closely with you to create a cake that complements your colour scheme, enhances your wedding theme, and incorporates personal elements that are special to you. Can I see a portfolio of your previous work? See our Portfolio page HERE Can you make cakes for dietary restrictions (gluten-free, vegan, nut-free, etc.)? We cater to those with dietary intolerances, though we do not accommodate severe allergies. Stephanie, our founder, follows a dairy-free and gluten- free diet herself, so she understands the importance of delicious cakes that meet your dietary needs. Ordering & Pricing How do I place an order? How far in advance should I place my order? For wedding cakes, we recommend placing your order at least 6 months in advance. However, if you need a cake sooner, please don't hesitate to call or email us to check our availability for your date. What is the price range for your cakes? Our prices start from £700 and full details of our wedding cake packages can be seen HERE. Do you require a deposit? Yes we require a deposit for all of our wedding cakes or dessert tables. We require a non-refundable booking fee of 30% of the total price in order to secure your date. What forms of payment do you accept? You can pay by BACS, Credit/Debit Card, Cash or PayPal. We do prefer BACS.

Design & Customisation

Can I choose different flavours and fillings for my cake? Absolutely. We love to bake so please choose a different flavour for each tier of your wedding cake. Do you offer cake tastings? We certainly do. You can purchase a cake sample box prior to booking which will be refunded off the price of your cake or you can wait until your design consultation. Can I provide a picture or inspiration for my custom cake? We love for you to provide photos, however we will not copy someone else’s work so will use these photos for inspiration only. Do you use fresh flowers on cakes? NO – we would prefer not to use fresh flowers on our cakes as you can never fully guarantee that there are no nasties on the flowers and there are several very popular wedding flowers that are toxic. Do you offer sugar flowers and other edible decorations? Absolutely! We specialize in creating beautiful sugar flowers and wafer paper flowers. This allows you to have the perfect flowers regardless of the season, match the colours to your wedding theme, and keep these lovely decorations as a memento for years to come.

Delivery & Setup

Do you offer delivery? If so, what are the delivery charges? We will always delivery to your wedding venue, delivery is one of the most stressful aspects so we would not want you are any family/friends to have the responsibility of delivering your cake. Our wedding cake quotes will include your delivery costs. How far do you deliver? If you would like a cake from SB Cake Atelier we would happily deliver anywhere within the UK. Can you set up the cake at my venue? We may do some aspects of setting up your cake in our studio, however we will finish set up at the venue.

Cancellations & Refunds

What is your cancellation policy? If you wish to cancel up to 1 month prior to the wedding your booking form will not be refunded. If you cancel once you have made your balance payment we will have to take into consideration any costs that we will have incurred.
